Bekah & Rick - Desert Botanical Gardens, Tempe, AZ

Last weekend I finally got to meet Bekah and Rick for their engagement session at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Tempe, AZ. Two really cool people. It was nice getting to know them a bit before their wedding at the end of March.

Walked next door the other night and took a few shots. Always love the way the place looks when I drive past it on my way home. There was even a wedding going on when I was there... on a Thursday night. Ironic? Prophetic? Bit of both? Maybe.

Back from a busy weekend. Legs tired. Eyes blurry. Heart content. Mind at ease. And in the background Adobe Lightroom is currently doing its best to max out my computer.

I am happy to report that Heather and AJ's wedding on Saturday was a great success. I shot an absolute mountain of great material which I cannot wait to show Heather in the coming weeks. I will unveil a handful of photos in the coming days.

So earlier today I texted James and said 'we need Delux Burgers'. So we headed west to 32nd st and Camelback to rock some of the best burgers this side of the Rocky Mountains. Seriously, they're that good. Organic beef, medium rare, served with caramelized onions, aged white cheese and spinach leaves, all on a soft baguette. You must try them. Closing out the weekend was Bekah and Rick's engagement session at the Desert Botanical Gardens. Great place. I could spend hours just ducking in and out of the many thatched indian tepee-type enclosures they have scattered around the property. Oh, and there are gardens too... if you're into that sort of thing. Bekah and Rick were great to work with. Very photogenic people. Wish I could have spent an entire day with just the two of them. I'll be doing their (allegedly) massive wedding March 29th.

"The future, Conan?"

The future is now. Welcome to March!

Last Saturday I took in my second Cactus league game. This time it was (again) my Cubbies @ the Angels in their park, Tempe Diablo Stadium. Cubs lost, but then again, it's spring and the halos were playing pretty much their opening day lineup. But still, the Cubs prospects looked good. I can't wait to attend more games.

Other than that, lots of things happening this month. Heather and AJ's wedding is this Saturday in an intimate backyard setting with about 30 people. Should be great.

March 13th is yet another artist showcase/gallery shoot for my friends over at Bonner David Galleries, and two of my photos will be appearing in ads for the gallery in April. Check the news stands for the April issues of Desert Living Magazine, and Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine. Exciting stuff.

March 15th I'm at the Arizona Biltmore shadowing a wedding with my friend, Jason Millstein over at Illume Photography. Cool, cool guy. I'm psyched that such a talented and well-respected industry professional is letting me tag along.

March 29th I'm in north Phoenix for Bekah and Rick's wedding. It's another backyard ceremony, so I am excited.
